Terms of Service

1. Who We Are

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Good News Real Estate platform, operated by Good News Real Estate Inc., Brokerage ("Good News RE," "we," "us," or "our"), a real estate brokerage registered with the Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO) and operating under the Trust in Real Estate Services Act (TRESA), Ontario, Canada.

2. Who Can Use the Platform

The platform is intended for use by our brokers, registered agents, coordinators, and their clients (buyers and sellers) in connection with real estate services provided by Good News RE. Agent access requires an active RECO registration under our brokerage.

3. Real Estate Services, Not a Substitute for Legal or Financial Advice

The platform supports real estate brokerage services — listings, pipeline management, offers, and transaction coordination. It does not provide legal, tax, or financial advice. AI-generated content (listing descriptions, lead scores, approval summaries) is a drafting aid only and must be reviewed by a licensed brokerage professional before being relied upon or sent to a client.

4. Client Trust Funds & FINTRAC Obligations

Where the platform tracks deposits, trust ledger entries, or client identification for FINTRAC/PCMLTFA purposes, this is a record-keeping aid for our brokerage's compliance obligations. It does not itself hold, transfer, or disburse client funds; all trust handling is performed in accordance with RECO trust account rules through our brokerage's designated trust account.

5. Accounts & Acceptable Use

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You must provide accurate information and promptly update it if it changes.
• You may not use the platform to violate RECO rules, TRESA, or any applicable law.
• You may not attempt to access data belonging to another brokerage, agent, or client without authorization.

6. Intellectual Property

The platform, its design, and underlying software are the property of Good News Real Estate Inc., Brokerage. Content you submit (listing details, client information) remains yours or your client's, and you grant us a license to use it solely to provide the platform's services.

7. Limitation of Liability

The platform is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by Ontario law, Good News RE is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under TRESA or other applicable Ontario law.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by posting the updated Terms on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
