1. Who We Are

Good News Real Estate — UAE ("Good News RE," "we," "us," or "our") is a RERA-registered brokerage operating in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. We collect, use, and disclose personal data in accordance with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data ("PDPL") and the regulations of the Real Estate Regulatory Agency (RERA) and Dubai Land Department (DLD).

2. Information We Collect

• Identity information: name, nationality, Emirates ID / passport details
• Contact information: email address, phone number (including WhatsApp), mailing address
• Transaction information: property addresses, title deed and OQOOD details, offer prices, deposit and closing dates
• Financial information: source of funds, income range, deposit amounts (for AML/goAML compliance)
• AML/CFT-required information: occupation, Politically Exposed Person (PEP) status, beneficial ownership for corporate clients, as required under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 20 of 2018 (AML/CFT)
• Portal activity: showing requests, document views, deadline interactions
• Communications: emails, messages, and notes exchanged with your agent

3. Why We Collect It

• To provide real estate services — representing you in buying, selling, or leasing property in the UAE
• AML/CFT compliance — identity verification, screening, and suspicious-transaction reporting via goAML as required by UAE federal law
• RERA / DLD compliance — maintaining Form A/B/F/I records and permit documentation as required by the Real Estate Regulatory Agency
• VAT compliance — recording Tax Registration Number (TRN) details where commission invoices are subject to UAE VAT
• Client portal — giving you secure access to your transaction status, documents, and showings
• Communication — updates, reminders, and invitations related to your real estate transaction

4. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data based on your consent, for the performance of a contract when you engage us for real estate services, or as required by law (AML/CFT identity verification, RERA/DLD record-keeping). Under PDPL, you may withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions.

5. Who We Share It With

• UAE Financial Intelligence Unit (via goAML) — as legally required for Suspicious Transaction Reports (STR)
• RERA / Dubai Land Department — if requested as part of an audit, permit verification, or investigation
• Other brokerages / conveyancers — as necessary to complete your real estate transaction
• Service providers — cloud hosting (Replit), email delivery, AI processing — under data processing agreements
• We do not sell your personal data

6. Retention

Transaction records are retained in line with RERA record-keeping requirements. AML/CFT-required records are retained for a minimum of five (5) years from the date of the transaction or the end of the business relationship, whichever is later, as required under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 20 of 2018. Other personal data is retained only as long as necessary for the purposes collected, consistent with PDPL data-minimization principles.

7. Your Rights Under PDPL

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Request corrections to inaccurate or incomplete data
• Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten"): Request deletion of your personal data, subject to our legal retention obligations (e.g. AML/RERA record-keeping)
• Withdrawal of consent: Withdraw consent for non-mandatory processing at any time
• Restriction & objection: Request that we restrict or stop certain processing of your data

8. Marketing & Electronic Communications

Marketing messages (e.g., property updates, newsletters) are sent with your consent in accordance with the UAE Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) unsolicited electronic communications policy. Every marketing message includes an opt-out mechanism. To opt out, use the unsubscribe link in any email, or contact uae@gnre.co. Opting out of marketing does not affect transaction-related or legally required communications.

9. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including encrypted connections (TLS), hashed portal credentials, and role-based access controls. In the event of a breach that creates a real risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify affected individuals and, where required, the UAE Data Office, as soon as reasonably feasible under PDPL.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
